I disagree with your reasoning on the 500 limit. What difference does it make if MY list is 1000 if I can FOLLOW well over 1000 accounts? While YOU may assume it is too many it has no basis in practice. I don't am not certain how many people are using lists but it is for their purpose. If you don't subscribe ti a list no problem. It isn't as if there is a massive amount of data required of Twitter to manage a list. It is a database index that aggregates accounts. I can work with 500 but I will now have to go back and re-categorize the music related accounts I have added to my list.

Great advice. I've been doing that more regularly this semester, partially because I got married and don't have as much physical activity in my normal day. Starting work at a full-time programming job in May isn't going to help, either. So I'm glad to be getting into a routine right now, despite pressures of school and work.

What's possibly more important is that current Google+ users don't care but Google sure wants them to. Or better said, Google really wants the kind of users that do care, a.k.a. Facebook and Twitter users. Of course in the early days of Twitter, no one cared when celebs joined, but as they joined, so followed their fans.

Despite the recent moves to integrate social media into search, social media is fleeting. Status updates flow like the river and are gone. To me, blogging (even on sites like Tumblr) gives more permanence to your thoughts and words. A blog allows you to build a platform and establish a presence in a way that status updates can't. Of course the converse is also true. Blogging without social networks isn't as effective either. It's really got to be both - assuming your goals are to establish yourself or your brand. But obviously I'm biased.

I can understand, yet I still find the wifi version of the acer chromebook at only $350 a good deal since I don't need 3g I can tether it from my android and the cpu upgrade
Intel Atom 1.66GHz Dual Core vs pineview N455 that the cr-48 has, should just be enough to deal with your issues mentioned above.

I also can't explain a $600 dollar price tag but $350 is a really good deal.

I don't remember the first i phone being a flop. All I remember is that it set records for sales. Now I know there are a lot of apple fan boys; however they wouldn't have been the best selling phone if that were the only people buying the phone. With that said I do think that there are plenty of people that want variety for competing markets to exists. Apple isn't the end all be all.

Everyone forgets the first iPhone and how much it sucked. Most people also forget pre-iPhone 3g and the lack of app market. Then the lack of copy and paste and multi-task. The iPad was really not that great until those two came along.

I agree and I laugh when I remember back to everyone saying that Microsoft was dead in the water and had no chance. I think Robert Scoble and the Apple fanboy bloggers will have some crow to eat.

In full disclosure, Microsoft and WP7 is a client so I can't comment directly on this story ;) but I can say of all the companies I've worked at and worked for Microsoft is by far the most tenacious. It's one of their best qualities I think. It drives some people crazy but I actually admire that about them. And yes in 3-5 years (if that long) WP7 will be the #1 or #2 mobile OS on the market, Apple will be #3 and even if Android is #1 Microsoft will be making more money off them than anyone else. They win either way.
